Creative Zone in partnership with Investment Promotion Agency (IPA Qatar) invites you to join our upcoming ‘Doing Business in Qatar’. The event is aimed at companies that would be interested in exploring investment opportunities in Qatar. This session will also help companies connect with the local ecosystem, including business and licensing platforms.

The virtual event will also host a dedicated panel discussion where experts will discuss and share insights on the future of Qatar’s various industries and related opportunities. The panel experts will include Invest Qatar licensing platforms: Qatar Financial Center (QFC), Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), and Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA).

Lorenzo Jooris

Lorenzo Jooris holds extensive and diverse experience in the Middle Eastern and South Asian business markets and retains an expert opinion on the regions’ SMEs and startup culture. He was the founder of One World Communications, a full-fledged multi-media powerhouse advising governments around the world in branding and communication strategies. He also started LEADERS Middle East Magazine in the UAE and formulated ‘Leaders without Borders’, an initiative that promotes young social entrepreneurs’ development. He is the author of “Recipes for a Better World” and an advisor to the James Michel Foundation.

Walaa Amer

Qatar Science and Technology Park

Walaa Amer, Qatar Science and Technology Park: Walaa is the Engagement Manager at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). She leads the development and implementation of successful projects with business partners in an effort to attract and retain FDI in QSTP. Walaa holds 18 years of experience in project, program and resource management while working at QSTP, Hewlett Packard (HP) and PRI. Through her work with QSTP, she managed to develop and maintain successful relationships with stakeholders to leverage the QSTP brand. These relationships resulted in incorporation, national and international engagements, and long-term partnerships.

Walaa earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wisconsin, USA and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Georgia State University, USA and. She is also a certified Project Management Professional.

Hamad Al Nasr

Qatar Financial Center

Hamad Al Nasr, Qatar Financial Center: Hamad Al Nasr is a Senior Associate in the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) where his mandate is attracting new companies to the QFC. During his 5 years at the Qatar Financial Centre, Hamad was also involved in strategy development and Go-to-Market initiatives.

Hamad Graduated from the University of Derby (UK) with a bachelor’s degree in business management and has a post graduate certificate from the University of Westminster (UK).

Mohammed Al Mulla

Investment Promotion Agency Qatar

Mohammed Al Mulla, Investment Promotion Agency Qatar: Mohammed is an Investor Relations Specialist at Investment Promotion Agency Qatar. Prior to his current role, Mohammed worked for the Technical Committee for the Motivation and the Participation of the Private Sector in Economic Development of Qatar, in the Prime Minister’s Office. Before that, Mohammed served as an Architectural Engineer at the Public Works Authority – Ashghal.

Mohammed obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Architecture from Leicester School of Architecture, De Montfort University, UK and a Master of Science Degree in Project Management from the University of Portsmouth, UK and a diploma de Español (DELE) Nivel B2 from Spain.
